New contract award – Stofix UK to supply brick slip façades for Laureate Academy redevelopment
We’re proud to support the redevelopment of Laureate Academy in Hemel Hempstead, supplying our ventilated brick slip façade solutions. Led by main contractor Bowmer + Kirkland and commissioned by the Department for Education (DfE), this project will deliver modern, energy-efficient facilities designed by architect, Stride Treglown.
A phased transformation
The redevelopment is being delivered in two phases, involving demolition and new construction to enhance the school’s learning and sports facilities:
- Phase 1: A new teaching block, housing the science department, drama, music, library, design & technology, SEN, sixth form, and the main reception.
- Phase 2: A new sports block, featuring a sports hall, activity studio, and fitness room.
Pre-pointed brick slip façade
Stofix is supplying 1,730m² of pre-pointed brick slip façade panels replicating the aesthetic of traditional brickwork but offer the advantages of lightweight construction, making them ideal for modular and offsite construction.
Our panels will be delivered to Innovare Offsite’s Coventry-based factory, where they’ll be fitted onto modular wall panels and transported to site – streamlining construction, speeding up the process, and minimising disruption.
Feldhaus brick
The façade will feature Feldhaus R692 brick slips in a stretcher bond, ensuring a sleek, high-quality finish that aligns with the academy’s modern design.
A strong partnership
This project continues our successful collaboration with Bowmer + Kirkland and Innovare Offsite, further strengthening our presence in the education sector. With work already underway on the sports block, we’re excited to see the transformation of Laureate Academy unfold.
We’ll be sharing updates as the project progresses.
