Reflections on 2024: A Message from Andy McKechnie, Stofix Group Technical Director
“As we look back on 2024, I am proud to reflect on the significant strides Stofix UK has made in both technological advancements and operational efficiency. Through the hard work and commitment of our team, we have achieved a series of key milestones:
- The successful renewal of our fire testing accreditation (BS 13501) in 2024. Our product has been rigorously tested from both the front and rear, earning an A2, S1, d0 rating.
- The successful launch of our bespoke CAD system, CADflow. This innovative system automates product scheduling, reducing errors by 97% and cutting waste by 65%.
- The launch of Stotrack, our bespoke materials tracking system. Stotrack has transformed our entire logistics process, creating real-time tracking, comprehensive visibility, automated notifications, damage reduction, enhanced packaging and optimised rail bundling.
Growth Highlights
In 2023/2024, Stofix Group’s factory output increased by 20% and the UK saw a 30% increase—from 36k m² in 2023 to 52k m². These achievements demonstrate how operational efficiency and technical advancements can drive substantial production growth and market expansion.
Team Expansion
We have grown our team by 22% across the Group, strengthening our design, technical, and sales departments. The addition of these key team members reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in talent and building the foundations for future success. This year, we welcomed:
- Mike Trott, Head of Sales
- Sandra Robinson, Project Administrator
- Holly Catterall, Trainee Estimator
- Radu Tanef, Designer
Looking Ahead to 2025
Our overarching plan is to ensure healthy, consistent growth, with Stofix now available across Europe. By continuing to innovate, maintain operational excellence, and deliver exceptional quality, we are confident in our ability to drive further success for Stofix Group. Our focus for the next twelve months will remain on achieving sustainable growth. Our key objectives include:
- Expanding the UK market to reach 60-65k m² output.
- Strategically entering additional European markets at a measured and sustainable pace.
