The Bath House shortlisted for Project of the Year

We are delighted to share The Bath House has been shortlisted for Project of the Year at the Constructing Excellence West Midlands Awards. The Bath House comprises four separate blocks ranging from 7-18 storeys and features 16,500 sq. ft of Stofix brick slip panels. Stofix UK delivered this project with specialist installer Caxton Façades, for Winvic Construction.
Located in Birmingham city centre, The Bath House is a landmark Build-to-Rent residential development on the historic site of the city’s first public baths. Delivered by Winvic Construction, the scheme blends heritage with modern construction, transforming a key urban site into a high-quality residential community.

A project defined by collaboration and innovation
The Bath House reflects the core principles of Constructing Excellence — collaboration, innovation, and improved ways of working. Working closely with Caxton Façades and Winvic Construction, Stofix UK supported the delivery of a complete façade solution, including façade design, technical consultancy, manufacture and installation training.
This integrated façade package supported:
Clear communication across stakeholders
Efficient programme delivery through just-in-time logistics
Improved buildability using offsite construction methods
Consistent quality assurance across all stages
By utilising modern methods of construction (MMC) and offsite-manufactured brick slip cladding systems, the project achieved significant efficiencies in programme, safety, and sustainability. The use of prefabricated façade panels reduced on-site labour requirements, improved installation speed, and enhanced overall construction efficiency.

Delivering a complex façade system
The Bath House demonstrates the successful delivery of a large-scale, technically complex façade system. The project required a high level of coordination, precision engineering, and technical expertise to meet both the architectural intent and construction programme. The use of brick slip cladding enabled a high-quality brick façade aesthetic while benefiting from the speed, safety, and consistency of offsite prefabrication and lightweight façade systems.
Industry recognition
Commenting on the shortlisting, Andy McKechnie, Managing Director of Stofix UK, said: “Being shortlisted for an award that recognises the very best projects in the region is a fantastic achievement for the entire team. The Bath House is a great example of what can be achieved through strong collaboration, technical expertise, and a shared commitment to quality. We’re proud to have supported a project that sets a new benchmark for façade delivery and modern methods of construction.”
The team looks forward to the awards ceremony on 30th April.
